How do I donate to the Sloan Camp Fund?

All funds will be held in a Wells Fargo account. The Sloan Camp Fund will be audited annually.
How much can I donate?
Any amount is accepted and appreciated. The average cost for tuition for one student to attend an F.C. camp this year is approximately $275-$300. You may want to consider donating a full scholarship, 1/2 or 1/4 or more! Any amount, though, will help another kid attend F.C. camp.
What will the money be used for?
Donations will be used in one of two ways: direct tuition assistance for kids who need financial help to attend camp or, if the annual amount raised exceeds the request for tuition assistance, for direct support of the F.C. camp program.
Who will decide how and to whom scholarships are awarded?
The fund organizers will work the F.C. Camp directors to make scholarship awards.
When will scholarships be awarded?
Scholarships will be awarded prior to the first F.C. camp each year. If funds are available, later requests will be considered.
Is this scholarship fund supported by Florida College?
Not directly. Florida College is not contributing any money to the scholarship fund but is aware of and supportive of the efforts being made to honor Joel and support the camps. Some of the early donors were members of the Florida College Board of Directors. The College is also helping with marketing and creative support.
Are donations tax deductible?
The Joel Sloan Florida College Camp Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a Florida non-profit corporation that has received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. Donations are tax-deductable to the content allowed by law.
